Job summary

Monarch is seeking a caring Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Albemarle, NC for part-time weekend coverage. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.

A valid driver's license and a HS diploma are required, with experience supporting individuals with mental health, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders preferred. Responsibilities include promoting independence, facilitating community participation, ensuring safety, documentation, and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children or adults with MH/IDD/SUD is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person’s hopes and desires and provide supports to help achieve them.
• Help people develop relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist people to participate fully in their community according to their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of the people served and support advocacy.
• Provide support for emotional, physical, and medical needs as needed.
• Maintain person-centered relationships using positive approaches and self-determination.
• Input and update assessment plans, and document progress and actions.
• Complete daily progress notes and maintain communications logs.
• Assist with daily home operations, meals, housekeeping, and transportation as needed.
• Attend meetings and trainings; maintain certifications and comply with policies.
