The Arc Montgomery County in Derwood, MD is hiring Part Time Direct Support Staff for weekend shifts (Sat-Sun, 3pm-9pm). You will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community living settings, promoting independence and safety while assisting with daily activities.

A high school diploma or GED, and a valid drivers license are required. Incentives include a limited-time hiring bonus up to $1,000.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or 18+ with one year of experience.
Valid US driver’s license.
Effective verbal & written communication and computer skills.
Ability to read and write fluently in English.
Ability to assist people with activities of daily living.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing.
Must pass Maryland Board of Nurses math and reading test.
