Job summary

Oak Hill in Enfield, CT is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the evening shift. You’ll provide person-centered support in a residential setting, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live with greater independence, dignity, and connection to their communities.

The role offers 34 hours per week with Sunday–Monday 3p–11p and Friday–Saturday 2p–11p. Base pay is $20.39 per hour with schedule-based differential pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with ability to transport individuals in agency vehicles.
• Ability to complete required background checks, fingerprinting, and pre-employment health screenings.
• Ability to complete required training programs and maintain necessary certifications.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and professional work environment in accordance with Oak Hill policies.
• Commitment to continuity of care, including an occasional need to stay beyond a scheduled shift until coverage is in place.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including grooming, hygiene, mobility, and personal cares.
• Monitor health-related information and document vital signs when required; administer medications per training.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities using agency vehicles.
• Prepare meals and assist during mealtimes according to menus and dietary needs.
• Document daily activities, health information, progress notes, incidents in the EHR; follow regulations.
