Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a Day shift, full-time role in Benton, AR. The position supports clients with daily living tasks, mobility, and community activities within a home and community setting.

You will document progress, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and ensure safety and HIPAA/compliance standards are met. Valid driver’s license and GED/HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or two years’ experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with basic living tasks (showers, dressing, housekeeping, groceries, meals).
• Provide transportation to activities/appointments; maintain Arkansas driver’s license.
• Maintain communication in logs and meetings about client needs and progress.
• Complete required documentation (behavior/incident reports, progress notes, forms).
• Maintain records for Medicaid guidelines and vehicle mileage.
