Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to maintain a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for individuals served and to support their individual care plans.

The role involves assisting with medication, daily living activities, meals, budgeting, and community transportation, all while adhering to state agency procedures and company policies. Prior caregiving experience is preferred and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Effective reading, writing and verbal communication in English.
• Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Meet state agency requirements and be in good standing with abuse registry.
• Able to utilize basic computer skills.
• Prior direct support or caregiving experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (non-driver) or 21 years of age (driver).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for individuals served.
• Assist individuals served with medication and treatment plans as needed.
• Assist individuals served in home care tasks including budgeting, shopping and housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Complete all required documentation following state agency policies.
• Provide transportation for individuals served in company or personal vehicle as needed.
