Zusammenfassung

CWTC (Community Workshop & Training Center) is seeking a Direct Support Person to provide training and supervision to residents with disabilities in a home-like environment, promoting independence and quality of life.

You will assist with daily living tasks, personal hygiene, meals, transportation, mobility, and medication administration; complete required paperwork and participate in mandated trainings as part of a supportive, safety‑driven team.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance (if shift requires)
• Experience working with adults with disabilities helpful
• Must be able to successfully complete DSP classes and pass, complete and maintain Medication Administration authorization

Aufgaben

• Assist or perform programming to help residents with disabilities obtain Discovery Plan goals
• Assist residents with maintaining personal hygiene by assisting with bathing, brushing hair and teeth or other self-care needs
• Changing and washing soiled linens and/or clothing and assisting with laundry as needed
• Participate on activities with residents including transportation of residents
• Assist residents with mobility as needed
• Assist with the preparation of or prepare meals for residents
• Assist residents in maintaining a safe and sanitary bedroom and/or bathroom including making beds, putting personal items away and keeping floors clean and free of tripping hazards
• Teach daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
• Daily cleaning of facility, laundry, bed checks (if shift requires) and water temperature checks (if required)
• Medication administration
• Complete required paperwork completely and accurately
• Transportation of or escorting of residents as needed
• Coordinate medical appointments with assistance of house manager
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings
• Perform other tasks, not inconsistent with qualifications or regular duties as assigned
