Job summary

Sevita in Evansville, IN is hiring a Direct Support Professional. This non-exempt, hourly role can be full-time or part-time, supporting 4-6 individuals in residential settings or up to 10 in periodic programs.

You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, transportation, and community integration. You will document progress, maintain confidentiality, manage basic purchases within budget, and collaborate with families, guardians, and case managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: assist with socialization, personal care, and daily living activities.
• Records: accurately documents progress and reviews records, maintaining confidentiality.
• Management of Assets: makes cost-effective purchases within the budget of the individual served.
• Relationships: maintains professional relationships with individuals, families, guardians and case managers; follows Sevita standards.
• Reporting: reports abuse or neglect and incidents per policy and external requirements.
• Rights: respects the rights of persons served and maintains confidentiality.
• Health Care: accompanies medical appointments and supports medication administration as needed.
• Employment: attends orientation, participates in monthly staff meetings, and follows scheduling.
• Workplace Safety: adheres to safety policies and reports hazards.

Skills
