Attain, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings in Florida.

The role emphasizes independence, health, safety, and community inclusion while assisting with daily living activities. Responsibilities include supervising clients, documenting changes, administering medications per policy, participating in trainings, and collaborating with families and health

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, healthcare, child care, behavioral health, or related settings preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and training, including: CPR/First Aid; Medication Administration; Professional Crisis Management (PCM) or equivalent; Required behavior support training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals receiving services.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Facilitate community participation, recreational activities, and skill-building opportunities.
• Administer medications and maintain required documentation in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
• Observe, document, and report changes in health, behavior, or other significant events.
• Ensure the health, safety, dignity, and rights of all individuals served.
• Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and service records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
• Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
