Job summary

Advocate Healthcare Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting with daily living activities and implementing behavior support plans to help learners reach their goals.

You will conduct data entry on a daily basis, complete time sheets and logs, and support clients with skill-building in behavior, academics, social, and functional areas.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Required).
• Medication Certification (Required).
• CPR Certification (Required).
• First Aid Certification (Required).
• Candidates must be within a 25-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living as outlined in the client’s plans.
• Implement behavior analysis strategies to teach skills and reduce problematic behaviors.
• Provide safe, continuous support in home or community settings.
• Conduct daily data entry and maintain logs and time sheets.
• Support recreation, functional communication, and community inclusion.
• Transport clients as needed to BSP/ISP goals.
• Maintain general upkeep and cleanliness of home/facility.
