Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to ensure the safety and supervision of individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities in community-based sites.

The DSP will coordinate with clinical staff, implement residential interventions, and help clients achieve their individualized service plans, participating in activities of daily living at home and in the community. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, strong written and verbal communication,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and documenting in English is required.
• Prior experience in the human services field preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily living activities including planning meals, housekeeping, and personal hygiene.
• Provides supervision and guidance to promote independence and quality of life.
• Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to organizational policies.
• Documents interactions and activities per policies and procedures.
• Responds to crises following best practices and organizational procedures.
• Promotes dignity, inclusion, and individual rights.
• Assists with medication administration training and other required state trainings.
