Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries preferred.
• A clean and valid NYS driver’s license required.
• Background clearance and health requirements as per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide close supervision for individuals according to the individual treatment plan and 1:1 supervision when noted.
• Participate in program planning meetings; review and sign off on Treatment Plans.
• Maintain individuals' possessions neatly and communicate needs to management; complete documentation.
• Transport individuals safely; comply with NYS laws; maintain vehicle logs and report conditions to management.
• Keep the physical plant and agency property clean and safe; report issues promptly.
• Perform other duties to ensure individuals are safe, healthy, and comfortable.
• Comply with OPWDD regulations and agency procedures.
• Obtain and maintain SCIP-R and AMAP certifications; attend mandatory trainings.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services; demonstrate competency in required training areas.
