Job summary

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home, work, and community settings, helping them pursue meaningful goals. DSPs will work to maintain consistent engagement, promote independence, and document supports provided during each shift.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift. Some physical work examples could be but are not limited to:Intervening in aggressive situation and/or physically demanding responsibilitiesSupport with lifting individuals to and from wheelchairsSupporting a person to and from a showerUsing a gait belt in a safe and dignified wayProviding transportation for the people we support is an essential function of the DSP position.
