Job summary

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) in Nebraska seeks Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and community settings. You will provide person-centered supports, help with daily living, documentation, and promote independence and social inclusion.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and be prepared for checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Nebraska background checks including Nebraska Child/Adult Protective Services Central Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live as independently as possible and exercise rights.
• Provide person-centered supports and encourage participation in groups and activities.
• Document support provided during every shift with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with transportation, personal hygiene, and daily living tasks as needed.
• Promote community inclusion and positive social connections.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift.
