Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Vacaville, CA to support individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting health, safety and quality of life. The role includes daily routine planning, personal care, meal preparation, and transport as needed.

Requirements include a DSP certificate (Year 1 & 2 within 12 months), ability to pass background checks, and CA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Pass background check as part of pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting health, safety and well-being.
• Advocate to improve overall quality of life for clients.
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in IPP.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs and clothing changes if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup.
• Transport clients in company vans when necessary.

Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
Shifts Needed: AM and PM

Here's What You'll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
