Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Vacaville, CA is hiring a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety, and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will help implement daily routines and provide compassionate, person-centered care on a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, personal care, meals, and safe transportation when required. A DSP certificate (Year 1 & 2) and CPR/CPI preferred; driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check.

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients according to their Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs and personal care.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing when needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup.
• Pickup/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home or facility when necessary.

Here's What You'll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:
