Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Monterey Park, CA is hiring a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will advocate for clients and help improve quality of life within daily routines and activities.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, assisting with personal care and meals, and accompanying clients on transport when needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• First Aid/CPR and CPI (preferred or willing to obtain).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.

Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
Shifts Needed: NOC 10p-6a Friday - Monday

Here\'s What You\'ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.


• Assist clients with bathroom needs.


• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.


• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.


• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• 1 Year of experience working closely with individuals that have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Experience with high behaviors a plus.


• First Aid/CPR and CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)


• Must be at least 21 years of age


• Must have a California Driver’s License

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.


• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
