Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, or substance use challenges. You will help with ADLs, skill-building, and community integration, while documenting progress in our electronic health records.

Responsibilities include implementing individualized plans, transporting clients, safeguarding privacy under HIPAA, and maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete background checks
• TB health screening may vary by state

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goals per the individualized support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting, meals) per plan.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community activities.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Engage with individuals in home and community.
• Uphold rights and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical relationships.
• Report any abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medication after training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must stay awake for all shifts.
• Must perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
