Job summary

Embracelifeservices is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You will help with daily living activities, personal care, and skill development to promote independence.

This role supports multiple shifts (full-time, part-time, and on-call). Mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends may be required, adapting to various home environments while prioritizing safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support certifications.
• Experience with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Support mobility and transfers; use adaptive equipment if needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document.
• Provide companionship and promote independence.
• Support life skills, community involvement, ISP goals.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support strategies; ensure safety.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with families and supervisors.
