Job summary

Embracelifeservices in Tucson, AZ is seeking a compassionate HCBS Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently at home and in the community. You will support daily living activities, personal care, and skill development.

This role offers full-time, part-time, and on-call shifts based on member and family needs, with morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options. Training and certifications such as CPR/First Aid may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to obtain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support certifications required or obtainable.
• Experience working with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support mobility with transfers and adaptive equipment as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document accordingly (if trained).
• Provide companionship and encourage self-advocacy and independence.
• Assist in learning life skills and community involvement; support ISP goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with family and supervisors.
