Renew Residential Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care and meaningful support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health-related challenges in their homes & communities.

In this essential role, you will help residents live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, dignity, and overall quality of life through person-centered care and positive support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background checks and required screenings.
• Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes or home care preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; HIPAA training a plus.
• Experience with medication administration and care plan implementation desirable.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely with equipment like Hoyer lifts; stamina for long shifts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with compassionate approach to disabilities or aging needs.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines to protect privacy.
• Valid driver's license may be required for outings or transportation for full-time day shift.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating, maintaining a clean dining environment.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfer needs.
• Implement individualized care plans for developmental disabilities, dementia, autism, memory care strategies.
• Document progress with detailed notes on observations, behavior changes, and care provided.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and external providers.
• Respond to emergencies, behavioral incidents, and safety concerns.
• Uphold company policies, ethics, and state regulations.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe living environment.
