Job summary

Embracelifeservices is seeking a dedicated HCBS Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide personalized care for individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. In this role, you will assist with daily living, mobility, medication administration as trained, and support skill-building and community participation, while documenting progress and maintaining safety.

Flexibility with full-time, part-time and on-call shifts is required to meet member needs.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High School diploma or GED.
Able to obtain Arizona State level one fingerprint clearance.
CPR/First Aid certification, Article 9, and Prevention and Support certifications desirable.
Experience with Individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide ADL support including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal prep.
Assist with mobility and transfers; use adaptive equipment as needed.
Administer medications as prescribed and document when trained.
Offer companionship, promote self-advocacy and independence.
Support life skills and community engagement (cooking, budgeting, communication).
Encourage community outings, social interactions, and ISP goals.
Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies.
Maintain accurate service documentation, progress notes, and incident reports.
Communicate with family, guardians, and supervisors about changes in needs.
