Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with disabilities in Massachusetts. The role involves advocating, assisting with daily living tasks, and promoting independence within the community.

Full-time position, 40 hours weekly, with a pay rate of $17.50–$19.00 per hour and a sign-on bonus. Paid training, CPR/First Aid, and MAP are included, along with a supportive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Fluent English; able to read and write.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing and personal care.
• Assist with medical appointments, banking, community activities, and outings.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans and goals.
