Job summary

Venture Community Services seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living, community participation, and safety in a home-like setting.

The role offers paid training, a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff, a comprehensive benefits package, and a 40-hour work week with a rotating schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate in their community and lives.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including holidays and overnights.
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged member of the team.
• Speak, read, and write fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to empower independence.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, dressing and daily routines.
• Accompany to medical appointments, community activities and outings; follow care plans.
• Maintain safety, document progress, and follow program policies and DDS guidelines.
