Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with disabilities. The part-time schedule is 30 hours per week, with paid training and a sign-on bonus for eligible staff.

You will assist with daily living tasks, accompany clients to appointments and community activities, and support goal attainment under plan guidelines. Training is provided, with benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with disabilities to participate fully in their community.
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
• Fluent English speaking, reading and writing.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as household chores, meal prep, shopping, personal care.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, banking, community activities and outings.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and medical guidelines.
