Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Danville, PA to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will provide daily living support, personal care, and community involvement while upholding safety and dignity.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to assist with mobility. A valid driver’s license is needed, and eligibility to work includes being 18+.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in human services preferred or equivalent training.
• At least 18 years old and capable of lifting and assisting individuals.
• Valid driver’s license required unless programmatic exemptions apply.

Responsibilities

• Be a primary advocate for individuals served, ensuring health, safety, and welfare.
• Respect personal rights and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.
• Support participation in recreational, educational, and community activities.
• Monitor medical needs, administer medications as directed, and document accordingly.
• Communicate changes or concerns to supervisors and adapt to care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and assist with transportation needs.
