Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Kingston, PA. The role provides direct support to individuals per their ISP and plans, ensuring health, safety, and well-being, with responsibilities including transportation, community participation, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, experience with disabilities, and the ability to obtain required certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Transferrable skills in coaching, teaching, mentoring, or similar experiences preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to obtain state and agency required employment certifications including APSE, CESP, ACRE, and/or Discovery.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances and not be excluded from PA Exclusion Lists.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to individuals with IP/DD per ISP/Person-Centered Plan.
• Supervise health, safety, welfare, and well-being of individuals.
• Assist with community participation, skill development, and independent living activities.
• Safely transport individuals using a personal vehicle and maintain license/insurance.
• Accompany individuals in community settings and provide active support.
• Complete documentation, progress notes, incident reports, mileage logs per requirements.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with individuals served, families, coordinators, and healthcare professionals.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and agency events.
• Maintain regular attendance and provide flexible scheduling.
• Shift times: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM and 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.
