Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires effective communication and presentation skills, computer knowledge, strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or mental health disabilities preferred.
• Ability to obtain state and agency employment certifications including APSE, CESP, ACRE and/or Discovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with each individual's ISP, Progress Note, and plan.
• Supervise health, safety, welfare, and well-being, including emergencies and crises.
• Assist individuals with community participation, employment-related activities, and independent living skills.
• Safely transport individuals to activities using a personal vehicle; maintain license and insurance as required.
• Complete documentation, progress notes, incident reports, mileage logs timely and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state/licensing/funding regulations and agency policies.
• Communicate effectively with individuals served, families, supports coordinators, and healthcare professionals.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and agency events; maintain regular attendance.
