Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Resident Counselor to support individuals in a 24/7 residential setting across multiple locations in the Capital Region. Pay ranges from $17.60 to $18.69 per hour and includes benefits such as health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Flexible FT/PT/Per Diem schedules with weekend options are available. Responsibilities include teaming with interdisciplinary staff, promoting independence, and helping individuals with daily living activities

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the person’s planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assisting, promoting, and providing independence in the daily treatment, care, and services of the people we support.
• Respect the person’s choices, lifestyle, and their dignity to take informed risks.
• Help implement personalized habilitation services, which are outlined in their personalized care plan.
• Assist in acquisition of skills, including basic activities of daily living, self-care and household management for the people we support.
