Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Resident Counselor to support individuals in the Capital Region. Openings are at multiple locations; pay is commensurate with experience, program acuity, shift differentials, and trainings completed.

Work includes collaborative planning with interdisciplinary teams and promoting independence in daily care. Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, PTO, retirement matching, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the person’s planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist, promote, and provide independence in daily treatment, care, and services; respect choices, lifestyle and dignity to take informed risks.
• Help implement personalized habilitation services outlined in the care plan.
• Assist in acquisition of skills, including basic activities of daily living, self-care and household management.

Compensation Range
