Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region seeks a Resident Counselor to join a 24/7 care team. You will participate in planning, implementing, and coordinating care to promote independence and dignity for the people we support.

Weekend, evening, and overnight shifts may be available, with a focus on safe daily living activities. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years old, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve on the person’s planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist and promote independence in daily treatment, care, and services.
• Respect the person’s choices, lifestyle, and dignity to take informed risks.
• Help implement personalized habilitation services per the care plan.
