Job summary

First Resources Corp. in Burlington, IA is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Residential Services team. You will assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community involvement to promote independence.

We offer full-time and part-time schedules with evening and weekend shifts. Benefits include holidays, insurance, retirement plans, and ongoing training to support your professional growth and impact in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities such as grocery shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Assist with mobility needs, including two-person transfers and use of a Hoyer lift.
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
