Job summary

First Resources Corp. is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Residential Services team in Sigourney, Iowa. You will help individuals achieve greater independence by assisting with daily living skills, emotional well-being, and community involvement.

The position is part-time with shifts from 6am to 2pm, rotating every other weekend. We offer a rich benefits package for full-time employees and a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.
• Satisfactory background check results.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities such as grocery shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Assist with mobility needs, including two-person transfers and use of a Hoyer lift.
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
