Job summary

First Resources Corp. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Residential Services team in Sigourney, IA.

This part-time role (16-24 hours/week) involves supporting individuals with daily living skills, emotional well-being, and community participation. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, mobility support, and transportation to appointments, while documenting progress and coordinating with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance are required.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily living activities such as grocery shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Assist with mobility needs, including two-person transfers and use of a Hoyer lift.
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
