Job summary

Verland in Gibsonia, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team, providing compassionate care to residents in a home-like setting. The role features a 16-hour weekly schedule (Mon and Tue, 11 pm – 7 am) at $19.25 per hour.

This hourly, non-exempt position involves assisting with daily living activities, meals, hygiene, transportation, and housekeeping, with two weeks of paid training. Verland offers a comprehensive benefits package after meeting the hours minimum.

Description

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team. The role requires providing exceptional care to individuals who consider Verland their home.

New rate: $19.25 per hour. This is an hourly, non‑exempt position.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Medication administration
• Other duties as assigned

2 weeks paid training will be provided to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, and each individual’s support plan and personal development goals. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
