Job summary

Verland is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Pine House team in Aliquippa, PA. This part-time, non-exempt role offers 16 hours with a night schedule (11pm–7am on Fri and Sat). You will provide individualized care to residents with complex needs and help with daily living tasks, transport, and activity planning.

Training is provided; background checks and drug screening are required. Verland offers comprehensive benefits after the introductory period and supports career

Qualifications

• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation needed.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents, maintaining a safe environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Record daily observations and progress notes.
• Plan social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals; help with housekeeping and laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments in Verland vehicles.
• Assist with personal hygiene and dressing.
• Medication administration and related duties.
• Support daily living goals and required trainings.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals' to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

House Name: Pine House

Location: Aliquippa, PA 15001

Shifts available

Part Time- 16 hours

11pm - 7am Friday and Saturday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Medication Administration
• Other duties as assigned

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
