Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care for individuals calling Verland their home at Lycoming House in Moon Township, PA. This part-time, hourly, non-exempt position supports residents with daily living activities and community integration.

Shifts include 8-hour blocks (7am-3pm) with Sundays currently scheduled. Training is provided, and benefits accompany a minimum 30 hours worked per week. Equal opportunity employer; background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.

• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication Administration.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals' to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

House Name: Lycoming House

Location: Moon Twp, PA 15108

Shifts available

Part Time- 8 hours

7am-3pm: Sunday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
