Job summary

Verland in Crescent, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals for a part-time, 8-hour shift role, including a Sunday 11pm–7am shift at the School Street house.

You will support residents with daily living skills, assist with meals, hygiene, housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and participation in social and recreational activities.

Paid training provided; equal opportunity employer. No experience required; two-week training begins at start of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Crescent, PA. This part‑time, non‑exempt position involves 8‑hour shifts, including a 11 pm to 7 am shift on Sunday, supporting residents at the School Street house.

• Shifts Available: Part Time – 8 hours
• Shift Time: 11pm–7am: Sunday

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete background, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

2‑week paid training will be provided to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, and each individual’s support plan and personal development goals. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
