Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Massachusetts to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Earn $17.50–$19.00 per hour with paid training and a sign-on bonus for full-time and part-time roles.

The DSP will provide supportive care, accompany individuals to appointments and community activities, and help with daily living tasks while following Behavior Support Plans and goals.

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to stay active in their lives.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, personal care and mobility as needed.
• Attend medical appointments, banking, outings; follow Individual Support Plans and goals.
• Follow medical guidelines and agency policies; participate in required trainings.
