Job summary

Community Access Services (CAS) is seeking a Direct Support Professional for its Day Support Activities Program in Clackamas County, OR. You’ll support individuals with IDD through community engagement and skill-building activities on a full-time schedule.

Paid training, growth opportunities, and a supportive team await. The role emphasizes relationship-building, coordination of activities, safety, and inclusion for all participants.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Compassionate communicator with patience and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, person-centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and personal growth.
• Lead and participate in daily activities such as art, cooking, music, physical exercise and skill-building sessions.
• Support individuals during community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and more.
• Encourage social connection, communication, and confidence-building through meaningful engagement.
• Follow individualized service plans and behavior/support strategies (training provided).
• Assist with personal care routines as needed.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Help create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
