Job summary

Empowered Services is hiring an entry-level Direct Support Professional to provide structured in-home care in the Yamhill County area. The role supports individuals with IDD, emphasizing independence, routines, and community participation, with no prior DSP experience required and paid training provided.

You will assist with daily living, behavioral support, emotional regulation, and crisis safety while maintaining boundaries in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living routines (meals, hygiene, organization)
• Assist with community access (shopping, errands, outings)
• Provide emotional regulation support using calm, structured approaches
• Maintain clear boundaries and consistent expectations
• Assist with household upkeep and organization
• Encourage independence and personal responsibility
• Communicate updates with care teams and complete required documentation
• Help maintain a safe, predictable, and respectful environment
