Job summary

Bridgewell in Massachusetts seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in residential settings. You will support daily living activities, safety, and skills training in a home-like environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for related experience; a US driver’s license is also necessary for transport.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or 5+ years of verified experience.
• Preferred experience working with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
• Valid US driver's license with ability to drive safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with activities of daily living during day, evening or overnight shifts.
• Foster independence by creating opportunities for skill development.
• Follow regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies in all duties.
• Support medical, clinical and financial needs of individuals in care.
• Transport and accompany individuals to activities as needed.
• Maintain progress notes, checklists and shift documentation.
