Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in a home and community setting. You will assist clients with daily living tasks and personal care, and provide transportation when needed, ensuring safety and quality of care.

You will maintain records, follow the plan of care, respect confidentiality, and participate in ongoing training while upholding FCC policies and dignity for clients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or two+ years’ experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math and use basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks.
• Provide transportation to activities/appointments using a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• Maintain documentation in logs and staff meetings and required forms.
• Follow plan of care and medication management guidelines.
• Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA policies.
