Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Killingly, CT. This full-time role focuses on person-centered care, daily living support, and helping individuals with developmental and physical disabilities live more independently.

You will assist with ADLs, administer medications under supervision, document observations, and collaborate with families and managers to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a background check and provide required documents.
• Must be able to pass a TB test and a physical within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform ADL support.
• Must document care in English and communicate effectively with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal prep.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with medical appointments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Document daily activities and observations accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
