Job summary

Resources for Human Development in Raleigh, NC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–12:00 AM). This full-time role supports individuals with developmental disabilities and follows Person-Centered Support Plans to promote independence and community participation.

You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications as needed, provide transportation, and document care plans accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer and internet skills including email and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support per Person-Centered Support Plan.
• Promote safety and encourage healthy behaviors.
• Assist with daily living activities including meals, hygiene, and toileting.
• Administer medications as needed per procedures.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Support community integration and access to services.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and implement interventions.
• Help individuals complete clinical assignments and goals.
• Document accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
