The Department for Persons with Disabilities is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. This full-time or part-time position involves assisting residents with personal care, medication management, and community activities.

Qualifications

• Motivated to work as part of a team that acts in the best interest of residents.
• Experience with ID/DD population preferred.
• Valid (non-provisional) driver’s license required.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of CPR/First Aid.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Help meet the health, safety, and welfare of residents.
• Assist with personal care, cleaning, cooking, and life skills.
• Administer or assist with medication.
• Drive residents to/from day programs.
• Document services provided daily.
• Assist with community-based activities.
