Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Escondido, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting health, safety and well‑being. You will advocate for clients and support their daily routines, meals and transportation as needed.

The role requires a California Driver’s License, 21+ years of age, and pre-employment clearance. Training for DSP certs and CPI/First Aid/CPR is preferred or obtainable after joining.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• First Aid / CPR and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22/hr.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.
