Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network seeks a Direct Support Professional to join our Inglewood, CA team. This full-time, on-site role offers an hourly rate of $18.00–$19.50 and PM shifts.

You will implement daily routines per the Individual Program Plan, assist with personal care, meals, and transportation when needed. A DSP certificate is preferred or obtainable within two years; drivers license and background check required.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional certification preferred or willing to obtain within the first 2 years of hire.
• First Aid/ CPR and CPI preferred or willing to obtain.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver's License.
• Candidates must pass all pre-employment requirements including background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as per Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup.
• Transport clients in company vans if necessary.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 2 years of hire)
• First Aid / CPR and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver's License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
