Job summary

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide companionship, care, and support in the Charlotte area (ZIP 28277). This Independent Contractor role offers flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and competitive pay rates for CLS and respite services up to 60 hours per week.

The DSP will work Monday–Friday 9a–6p with some weekend flexibility, assist with home living activities, support social integration, and transport to programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) required or preferred.
• Valid driver license required.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• 1–2 years of experience with I/DD population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support and companionship.
• Assist with daily living activities in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration and participation.
• Dispense medications and monitor dosages as prescribed.
• Transport and accompany to day programs, work sites, and community activities.

We Need

InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a female Individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area, 28277. Staff will provide Community Living and Support and Respite Services for up to 60 hours a week.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 9a-6p
• Saturday/Sunday: Flexible

Pay Rate

• CLS: $20.35/hr.
• Respite: $16.07/hr

What You'll Do

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Help individual develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Requirements

All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.

Contractor Information

*** This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
