Job summary

OneWell Health Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in home and community-based settings in Ohio. The role focuses on daily living, health monitoring, and social engagement with dignity and safety at the forefront.

Responsibilities include personal care, independence-building, behavioral support, health monitoring, documentation, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Caregiving or direct support experience with IDD is strongly preferred.
• BCI and FBI background checks if Ohio resident <5 years.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, meals, medication reminders, and mobility as per care plans.
• Foster independence and life skills through guided instruction and routines.
• Provide behavioral support and model positive social interactions.
• Monitor health and safety, report changes, assist with medical appointments.
• Maintain accurate daily notes and GPS locations; communicate with families and care team.
• Support community involvement and social activities for participants.
• Coordinate with nurses and supervisors to deliver coordinated care.
• Assist with documentation, scheduling, and transportation as needed.
