Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide support and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities within their homes or communities. You will promote health, safety, and independence, following individualized support plans and reporting on progress and concerns.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior support strategies, assisting with daily living activities, transportation when needed, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading and writing in English.
• Current CPR and health screening per state requirements.
• PA nursing or CNA license or Home Health Aide certification required, or equivalent competency.
• Successful completion of required competency evaluations or state-approved training.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to achieve health, safety and independence goals.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Implement behavior support plans and document progress accurately.
• Provide transportation as needed and ensure timely reporting of concerns.
• Maintain compliant client records and ensure client rights are respected.
• Promote client advocacy and monitor wellness and safety.
